Julien Bourgeois

Julien Bourgeois is the international leader in programmable matter research for 10 years, recognized expert in intelligent and distributed MEMS, creator of the Programmable Matter consortium in 5 countries. Currently professor at the Université de Franche-Comté, researcher at the Franche Comte Electronique Mecanique Thermique Optique Sciences and Technologies (Femto- ST) Institute (UMR CNRS 6174) and lecturer in modular robotics at Harvard, he has supervised more than 17 PhD students in 20 years and directed the computer science department (DISC, 65 permanent staff) for 5 years.
